In the year since the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, delivered his first Budget to a packed Commons chamber in March 2020, more than 135,000 people in the UK have died from Coronavirus, there have been three national lockdowns, the economy has shrunk by 9.9 per cent and Coronavirus support measures have cost around £280 billion.
FC Payroll Solutions is celebrating being named Specialist Provider of the Year at the leading industry awards for payroll professionals.
With 38 staff based in Poole, Torquay and Truro, PKF Francis Clark’s commercial payroll bureau handles payrolls for more than 1,200 businesses and organisations across the South West and beyond.
Judges of the Specialist Payroll & HR Provider Award at The Rewards, organised by Rewards Strategy, were impressed by the firm’s work for clients in the care sector.
Recent highlights included transferring 27 new care home payrolls, with 2,500 employees, in just four weeks with no interruption in service. FC Payroll Solutions has also automated processes for 40 payrolls, saving time and resources for care homes.
Sharon Austen, partner at PKF Francis Clark, said: “Care homes have faced many challenges during the pandemic, so it’s pleasing to be recognised for the role our payroll teams have played in enabling them to focus on their vital work.
This award is testament to the professionalism and expertise of our people, who have worked so hard to support all our payroll clients throughout this extraordinary year.
“As the awards ceremony was held virtually this year, unfortunately there are no glamorous photos, but we look forward to celebrating properly when regulations allow.”
FC Payroll Solutions was also shortlisted in the Service Provider Team category, while Torquay-based payroll services assistant Daryl Stubbs was a finalist for the Rising Star Award.
